Civil weddings take place in the 16th century Town Hall, whose terraces overlook some of the Amalfi Coast’s most beautiful landscapes. Catholic weddings can be celebrated in the majestic 10th century cathedral situated in the heart of the village. It dominates the entire piazza, and the greatest feature of all is the grand staircase ascending to the church, one of the most choreographic settings for a bride's arrival and wedding photos.
Be inspired by the magic of a ceremony at sunset in Positano, the gem of the Amalfi Coast. Positano is placed in an enchanting position, with pastel-shaded houses clinging to the rocky cliffs dropping vertically into the turquoise sea. It is a very elegant little town, with impressive palazzi, fashionable boutiques and myriads of cafés and restaurants.
Civil weddings can take place outdoor on the wonderful panoramic terrace of the Town Hall, with stunning views of the Coast and of the village itself. They are held till 11.00 pm for those couples who prefer the incomparable romanticism of a perfect sunset.
Ravello
Perched on a rocky spur above Amalfi, Ravello offers some of the most stunning views and beautiful gardens of the Amalfi Coast. Known as the “town of music”, Ravello has welcomed great international composers like Wagner, Verdi and Rostropovitch, who found inspiration in the beauty and harmony of this charming village. Civil weddings take place in an antique room of the 12th century building hosting the Town Hall, or outdoor in its beautiful garden. Catholic weddings can be celebrated in numerous little churches in and around Ravello.
